The Sticklers on tour?
Oh the humanity

So anyway, we went on tour...and if you're here, you must be somewhat interested. So sit back and enjoy some of the pics from the tour along with some little stories.

Wow, our first show. The ride to Reno was beautiful, Noey and Sam got to see snow for the first time. We played to about 10 people total, but it was one of the most fun shows of the tour. The 2 bands we played with were the coolest. On the left is Secretions and on the right is Milhouse SMF, both bands were from Sacramento and hopefully we can play some more shows next year with them. The guy who set up the show, Aaron, was really cool and had alot of beer for me to enjoy. For a first show it was hella fun and proved to be the precursor to all the fun we would have.

We took this pic on the campus of UC Berkeley, before we played Gilman on June 12th. Aren't we cute? Otto refused to pose for this pic, but I think Sam is cuter.

Well here it is, proof we played the legendary Gilman Street. The history of this place is legenndary. Needless to say we were all quite nervous. We played first, thank god. The other bands that played that night were Subincision, The Smugglers, and Anti Flag. Most of the people were there to see Anti Flag. I thought we might not go over to well, but to tell you the truth most people were into it. We played a really good set and some guys actually moved around. This picture was taken while we were playing Roller Coaster Girl. It doesn't look like it, but alot of people actually raised their arms (you can see the one guy doing it) and did the whole Roller Coaster ride scream with us. Also, Craigums from Your Mother came down to see us and let us hangout at his place that night. It was a very fun night and one we won't soon forget.

Well Otto is a huge roller coaster fan. So this wasn't only a band tour, but also a tour of a shitload of roller coasters. We rode roller coasters in Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Magic Mountain, and Santa Cruz. Otto rode more roller coasters, but I am not sure when and where. The 2 pics are a post card of the coaster in Santa Cruz (The Giant Dipper) and of us getting ready to go over the drop.

Aahh, Sacramento. A really nice town and also the capital of California. We got to play the legendary Loft, a small room above Time Tested Books in the heart of Sacramento. It was hot as hell and most of the locals don't go there to see the traveling bands. So most people stood downstairs while we played. During this show, Dave discovered that Pabst Blue Ribbon was only $2 a six pack at the local liquor store. So after consuming large amounts of cheap brew, he did the quintessential rock star thing. He got real drunk fell into the drumset, kicked over microphone stands, and basically carried on for long lengths of time about nothing between songs. Otto told Dave that he wasn't allowed to drink that much before a show again.

The first pic is of us playing the Geek fest on June 22nd. This was as interesting event. 100 bands in 7 days, out in the middle of nowhere on a big ass lake. Imagine a bunch of punx with no rules and alot of beer and no adult supervision. After the carnage was over 78 bands actually played. We were glad to be a part of it. The second pic is us hangin out on the lake. And finally the third pic is of the delicious food they served that morning. It was oatmeal and fruit cocktail. It was free so we can't complain. Yum.

This is Noey reading some really sexist book about a guy who basically picks up women and sleeps with them and tells the reader all about it. She kept giving us highlights of the book. Oh yeah on a side note the pic was taken in Red Session's house in Richmond, where the whole bands lives. They were nice enough to actually let us stay there for 3 days while we had some shows in the San Fran area. Such nice folks.

While driving to Eureka from San Francisco we drove right into Bigfoot Country. I guess this is the area he lives in. We looked and looked, but never actually saw the real Bigfoot, but we did find a life size replica.

This is us and our new buddy Tim. We played in Eureka at a place called The Vista. We didn't have a place to stay that night and it was fucking cold in Eureka. During our set I asked if anyone could house us that night. Good old Tim volunteered his place, plus he made us coffee in the morning. So we gave him the shirt he is holding and some great memories. Thanx Tim.

The mountain pic was taken at a rest stop on top of some mountain. I think we were at about 3000ft elevation. We pulled over and took the pic, then got back in the van and drove to Redding. The road to Redding was so beautiful, long winding roads thru the mountains. It just took a longtime to do the drive. The next pic is of our good friend Jonah, when we finally got to Redding (Cottonwood actually), we knew Jonah was gonna try to make it, but we had no way of contacting him and telling him exactly where the show was. Yet, somehow Jonah found us, and hungout that night. Plus he got on the drums and played the Hardcore Song with us. It was great to see Jonah and hope he will visit us in Hawaii soon.

Aaah yes, the Van. Oh home for 19 days. We rented the beauty and threw a mattress in back. Then hit the road.

This pic is from our last show. We played in a record store called Radio Free Records. It was a great turnout of some of our new friends we made on tour. The most important guests of that night had to be Otto's parents, they live in Freemont and came up to see us play. Otto was very nervous. It was a nice way to end the tour.

More stories and pics to come...so check back later
FLyers from some of the shows we played.

Thanx
We would like to thank all the people who helped us out, were just plain cool, or just enjoyed the dorkiness we spread on the tour.
So thanx!

Love and Kisses, Noey, Dave, Sam, and Otto
